Welcome to Hangö Udds Segelsällskap's new website! We hope this page can serve as a natural first stop for both members and guests, with links and information to help you find what you want to know about the club, sailing, or activities at the seas around Hangö. We hope here that the navigation on the site is easy enough that you don't have to search for too long.

On the site you'll find events and a racing calendar, a rental page, and the option to apply for membership. There's also an About page that in broad strokes outlines where the club's roots lie. The history puts considerable emphasis on the centreboard dinghy — a deliberate choice, made after discussions with older members who put emphasis on how central the type of boat is to understanding how HUS came to be. But alas the history on this page is still only an overview; for those who want to go deeper, we warmly recommend the anniversary publications (available in swedish), or a conversation with one of the older hussare. There are stories there that don't fit on a website.

We also included a few useful tools for the average sailor or anyone navigating the same waters as a hussare might be roaming in. Note that Weather data on the front page is fetched in real time from FMI's stations at Tulliniemi, Hanko and Vänö, Kemiö.
